Dr Yemisi Bokinni, MBBS, BSc (Hons)

Hello!

I’m Yemisi Bokinni, a medical doctor turned health and science storyteller.

I hold degrees in Medicine and Human Genetics from King’s College London. My current work explores the role of plants in medicine, developed during a Visiting Research Fellowship at the UCL School of Pharmacy, supported by a European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Journalism Fellowship.

I work across print, audio, and film at the intersection of science, medicine, the environment, and culture.

As a journalist, I contribute primarily to The BMJ (British Medical Journal) and Nature Africa, where my articles are published in both English and French

My reporting has been recognised for its depth and real-world impact.
