Dr Yemisi Bokinni, MBBS, BSc (Hons)
Hello!
I’m Yemisi Bokinni - a medical doctor turned health and science storyteller.
I hold degrees in Medicine and Human Genetics from King’s College London, and I’m currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the UCL School of Pharmacy, where I am exploring the role of plants in medicine, supported by the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).
I work across print, audio, and film to explore the intersection of science, medicine, the environment, and culture.
As a journalist, I contribute primarily to The BMJ (British Medical Journal) and Nature Africa, where my articles are published in both English and French.
My reporting has been recognised for its depth and real-world impact.
